About: Heather Kennedy-Plant

Heather joined the Business Career Services team as a Co-op Coordinator in 2007 and is responsible for a range of activities to support Cooperative Education degree students in reaching their goals, including admission interviews, formal class development and instruction, career counselling, business placement development, site visits/evaluations, and co-op program administration. Heather has been an advisor and administrator, at the University of Alberta, since moving to Edmonton from the interior of British Columbia in 1999. Before joining the School of Business she worked at the Faculty of Education and then with University of Alberta International, in the Education Abroad Program. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and with a minor in English from the University of Alberta, Heather has a diploma in Child Psychology, Supervisory Development certification from the School of Business, and most recently completed a MEd in Educational Policy Studies with a focus on Adult Education, from the U of A in summer 2009. Heather also earned a Certified Manager designation after achieving her Masters degree and for her next educational pursuit is studying for the CHRP designation which is the professional designation Hurman Resources professionals within Canada.
