Heather joined the Business Career Services team as a Co-op Coordinator in 2007 and is responsible for a range of activities to support Cooperative Education degree students in reaching their goals, including admission interviews, career counselling, business placement development, site visits/evaluations, and co-op program administration. Heather has been an advisor and administrator, at the University of Alberta, since moving to Edmonton from the interior of British Columbia in 1999. Before joining the School of Business she worked at the Faculty of Education and then with University of Alberta International, in the Education Abroad Program.
In addition to a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta, Heather is also a Certified Manager. Heather’s next academic purusut is to achieve the Certified Human Resources Professional designation. Her lifelong learning pursuits have resulted in a long list of other certifications which include TESL/TEFL/TESOL Certification with a Teaching English for Business Specialization, a diploma in Child Psychology, and Supervisory Development certification from the University of Alberta School of Business.
