Reaching youth by providing various ways to experience literature, and a range of other themes for learners from all age levels.
Eduscapes is provides an ideal example of how an area of education might move beyond simply providing books and paper, as the main form of instructional materials. For example, they have a section on the site dedicated to “encouraging active reading through book-technology connections” which is titled “Literature Learning Ladders” and this section of the site was created because they believe that “In order to address the diverse needs of today’s students, we need to think of literature as more than simply words in a book. How can we reach all young people by providing a variety of ways to experience a work of literature as well as a variety of instructional materials to differentiate instruction?”
Eduscapes is an online site for lifelong learners of all ages, that is built on the belief that “Information is to be Shared!” They have multiple sections within their website which include themes that range across age levels and curriculum.
